Gym-based rehab · For existing physiotherapy clients
Personal training in Birmingham, coached by a physiotherapist
Once the acute pain has settled, the next job is rebuilding the strength and confidence to actually use your body again, back in the gym, on the pitch, or just carrying the shopping without thinking about it. These sessions bridge that gap. They're offered only to existing physiotherapy clients as the next stage of an active rehab plan, not as a stand-alone booking.
Who this is for
From rehab plan to the gym floor
Personal training with Joel isn't a generic gym programme. It's the loading, strength, and conditioning phase of your rehab plan, run in-person in the gym, so the exercises you do actually match what your body is ready for.
Post-injury return to training
You've finished the acute treatment phase and want a coached, structured way back to full training without re-injuring the same area.
Persistent niggles under load
Squats, presses, or pulls that flare something up. Sessions focus on technique and loading strategy to train around and eventually resolve it.

Sessions are arranged directly with Joel as part of your rehab plan once you're an existing physiotherapy client — they aren't available to book separately. If you haven't been seen yet, a physiotherapy assessment is the place to start.
Start with an assessment
If you haven't been assessed yet, that's the right place to start. Joel will tell you honestly whether you're ready for personal training now or need a few treatment sessions first.
